Spring Summer 2011: A Luxury Shirt With A Twist Of Wit

E One Six London: A Luxury Shirt With A Twist Of Wit

Since the launch of E One Six London earlier this year, this collection of men’s shirts has gained a growing fan base. Now Daniel Blake, the designer behind this innovative brand, is pushing his concept further, looking to build on its early success. The collection remains true to its initiative of creating shirts to suit the lifestyle of ‘the modern man on the move’, taking him smoothly from office to bar to home; the ultimate in versitility.

For Spring Summer 2011, Blake moves the collection forward giving pieces a twist of wit, introducing mini checks and jumbo stripes, patched and paneled in unexpected ways. The more classic King George V style takes on a new look with the introduction of a subtle contrast top stitch in shades of pewter on dark navy, and silver grey on pale pink, accenting the detailing.

The introduction of Albion Dock to the collection offers a more relaxed option. This heavy Oxford shirt has been washed more rigorously to complement the white cotton tape and buttons used to finish the garment. Priced at £115 this shirt is both stylish and affordable.

Blake continues to fuse attention to detail and engineered construction with quality fabrics and production. Every detail is carefully considered, even down to the packaging, where tiny button labels are attached individually to each shirt before being packaged into a stylish brown paper shirt box. Each box is confidently stamped with the E One Six London logo before being shipped out of the studio.
